Welcome to the Game Strats WoW Alchemy Guide, this guide aims to show you the fastest and simplest way to level your Alchemy profession from 1 to 450.Updated for WoW patch 3.3

Due to the amount of Herbs needed to level Alchemy the cost to get from 1 to 450 can vary from server to server, this guide is the fastest but may not be the cheapest way for everybody. Herbalism is best combined with Alchemy to save you some gold during the leveling process, you can also Check out the Gamestrats WoW Herbalism Guide for tips on how to level Herbalism aswell. If you don't have the Herbalism profession, make sure you have enough gold to buy all the needed herbs from the Auction house, Your going to need allot of them.

The materials listed are based that in a perfect world you will gain one skill point each craft. But this is WoW and this probably won't happen, so you will have to buy a few extra materials while you are leveling your Alchemy.

  [Elixir of the Sages] is a great alternative if you don't have that many Blindweed or Sungrass. You have to make a few more [Elixir of Greater Agility] up to 270 before you can learn this recipe.

Go to Outland and learn Alchemy Master.

Once you reach an Alchemy skill of 325 and level 68, you may begin a quest to learn one of three specializations: Potions, Elixirs or Transmutations. Being specialized gives you a chance to create an extra 1 to 4 (for a total 5) items while crafting in the field you have selected. For example, a Master of Potions may be able to craft more than one [Super Mana Potion] for the same material cost as one.

Both Elixir and Potion master requires instance runs for the quest items and it can be hard to find groups to those old instances, so here is a little trick which can save you a lot of time.

Choose the path of Transmute Master. Buy 4 [Primal Might] or farm the required materials for 4 [Primal Might]. Go to Netherstorm, talk to Transmute Master and become a Transmute Master. Unlearn your specialization by talking to the master again, then go to the Elixir Master or to the Potion Master depends on which path you want to choose, of course if you want to be a Transmute master, you can skip this part. It costs 150 gold each time you unlearn your specialization.

  If you discovered the [Potion of Speed] recipe, make that one until 415 instead of the recipes below, because it's cheaper.
